1.1M350 Poduct Outer Shape


1.2 M350 Function description

M350 is a small size router module  use  standard PCIE interface connector (the power supply pin is same with the standard PCIE connector ).It has many types connector.Such as  RJ45,USB,WIFI,UART,GPIO  and so on .It's very convenient for customer's second usage.

Illustration: 


1. Pls use LAN0 directly if you only use RJ45 connector,the system will discern WAN/LAN port automatically.

2. LAN0 and Lan4 are LAN port under 3g router mode and AP mode if you want to us 2 RJ45 ports, LAN4 is WAN port, LAN0 is LAN port under standard router mode .

3. The software of one RJ45 connector and two RJ45 connectors is different . Pls contact  us  to get related software version.

4. UART1 is the connector for data transmission, UART2 is internal adjusting connector.No open for customer use .

Intenna Connector 

M350 have a WIFI antenna connector. Antenna impedance must  choose 50 mm cable and antenna for characteristic impedance purpose. Antenna connector on module Which we use  51-3612-50-H from Astron company connector  or U.FL-R-SMT-1(10)RF from HRS company connector (these two  connectors are common use ) .The demision for RF connector listed as below :

3 Connector’s application 


3.1 UART connector 

 

Module support 2 UART connectors, Only UART1 open to the public, it can be used as connect  user host’s UART,or serial equipment .It support data transparent transmission mode and order mode . UART2 is used ad internal adjusting.

   

3.2 Power supply connector 

The standard voltage value we offer for external is 3.3V(3.25-3.335V). It can supply powe for module, The peak current is 1A. 


3.3 USB bus 

 Module offer 1 high speed USB connector. It can be used as HOST or DEVICE,also can connect 3G module ,USB equipment ,storage euipment and so on .

  

3.4 LED State display 


Module offer 5 state indicatior pin feet,power,SYS,3G dailing,LAN1,LAN2.It can be used for indicating state.

1. Power indicator: It will be bright when power supplied .

2. SYS indicator (SYS): It will be flashing when the system operated normally.Detailed state definition list below : 

   a) Single flash when it is in 3G router mode, use 0.1 second bright, 1 second dark.

   b) Double flashing  When it is in WAN router mode , use 0.1 second bright, 0.1 second dark,0.1 second bright, 1 second dark.

   c) Third flashing when it is in WIFI router mode, use 0.1 second bright, 0.1 second dark,0.1 second bright, 0.1 second ,0.1 second bright, 1 second dark.

   d) Overdue for 3G fee mode( flashing continuous)

3. 3G state indicator( connect Internet state indicator)  3G dailing successfully or It will be bright when connect successfullhy.

4. LAN light: It will be bright when successfully connected, It will be flashing when data pass through.


3.5 GPIO connector 

 1, SYS system light:GPO11

 2, 3G state light( Connecting internet light): GPIO12, it flashes when dailing, resigned IP will be bright.

 3,Watch dog’s signal: GPIO14, it will send 100ms high levels per 30 seconds.( It will have this function for V2.1.4.5 and above upgrading software ) 

 4, Reset function : GPIO0, high levels sometimes, Low levels when keep on 5 seconds, the system will restore to the defaulted value.

 5, TF card core chip  control: GPIO13

 6, RS485 core chip reversible control: GPIO17

 7, Switched control when it’s in router mode:GPIO18, it wil be switch to 3G/WIFI/LAN router mode when you pull lower one time .

 8, Control online or offline when IO control : GPIO19(JTAG_TMS)


3.6 Serial Port Instructions:


1, Version 2.1.1.8 offer serial port service function and keeping upgrading and innovating .

2, Open up the setting page of wireless router for 192.168.10.1, Open “server”,Choose “com2server” to set what you need to .

3, Serial service can be devided into order mode and serial transparent transmission mode 


a)Serial order mode:Send some orders to wireless router by serial port,we can obtain current time,current web type, current internet total data, current 3G/4G signal strength related information, detailed order can refer to serial port order table.


b)Serial port transparent mode : you can set the ip address and port of server you want to connect,Make 3G/4G router connected with the pointed TCP or UDP server, establish transparent data transmission channel ,realize the data transparent transmission.


C)If set serial service function open when it’s power off, then it’s on serial transparent mode and connect automatically pointed server when it’s power on .


d) If set setial service function closed when it’s power off, then it’s on serial order mode and receive serial mode directly when it’s power on.


e)You just need to sending “+++”if want to back to serial order mode from serial transparent mode. You just need to “ATO” if you want to back to transparent mode from serial port oder mode.


4,Serial transparent mode can be devided  into customer end  mode and server mode ,


a) Customber end mode is normal use mode,  it can connect remote server automatically when power on and can establish transparent data channel .


b) Server mode is detective mode , waiting for customber end connnection. 

Only the assigned IP from China telecom  is visible IP in public network and it can be used as server.  The assigned IP from China mobile communication and China unicom are inside network IP. External network can’t access to, So it can’t be used as server.


c)If you want to be used as a server, it can also use DDNS function. Namely is that  fasten  a fixed DN with assigned IP casually ,customer end only need to connect this fixed domain name and no worry the IP address frequency.There are many providing DDNS service supplier so far,such as “Oray”,“3322” and so on , Only need apply for related information (such as DN,user name, password)  to service supplier and fill in the 3G/4G router setting. 3G/4G router can connect suppliers accordingly and automatically and complete fixed dormain name .


5, If serial function is closed (transparent serial port function closed) ,then the serial port order can come into use.



Notice:


1.You need to consider radiating when use M350 module for design development. High temperature can lead to efficient and stability loss. We suggest you adhering a larger radiating pin on main core chip.


2.The design principle of  single LAN port and double LAN port is different .So upgradting version softwares are different.


3.You need to consider using melt adhesive for fastening the connecting card of antenna and the IPX deck  to protect loosening if use module in a shaking environment.


4.M350 use standard PCI-E connector, Pls pay attention to 2 specifications connectors in general ,one is 4mm height,one is 5.2 mm height, M350 should use 5.2 mm .


4 Development board for external use 


We can provide the full function connector development board of module for customers ,development board for outer shape is illustrated as below :
